DigiBoy's Collection 1: The Depths of My Regret (OR Buyer's Remorse: The Shit I Wasted Money On, As Raped By Krauser II)

When a normal person sees a high-power-level collection, they will invariably remark on how you have ‘wasted a lot of money on this crap’, and a proper fan will usually reply that it ‘isn’t a waste.’ I wish I could say that, but the truth is that I own a few things that I truly regret buying. Organized, here, in order of how much I spent on this shit. Needless to say, they are all figures, and therefor I will depict each of them being raped by Funeral’s Krauser II Revoltech, a 25-dollar toy with more value than all the shit I’m carting out combined. Ugh. These are the mistakes of my youth.

Business Studies in Anime 2: Lain Does Business In PRESENT DAY… PRESENT TIME! HAHAHAHA!

This post is part of a series wherein I use my studies from my college business courses to re-teach business principles through anime. This is the second part from my Supervision class, covering chapter 2 of Supervision Today! Edition 6 by Stephen P. Robbins and David A. DeCenzo. This chapter is about how modern business practices have changed things for supervisors, as run through Serial Experiments Lain in PRESENT DAY… PRESENT TIME! HAHAHAHA!

100 Characters For 100 Otaku (Part Twenty: 5-1) FINAL

Well, folks, here we are! “The final post in 100 Characters For 100 Otaku!” It’s been a long and crazy ride, exciting every step of the way, but it’s finally time for the whole thing to end. I hope you’ve enjoyed what I sincerely hope will be remembered as my most epic and experimental post series to date (don’t worry, I’ll top this one day!) That being said, let’s cap it all off, baby! It’s time for the top five!!!

The Anime I Just Never Talk About

Ghostlightning did a post yesterday on shows that he finds difficult to write about in spite of the fact that he is a huge fan of them. I have shows like this myself as well as shows I just… never really brought up, even though I enjoyed them so much. Looking back, I didn’t used to really talk about shows much after the initial ‘I finished it’ post, and it was really only near the end of last year that I started not only to post about my impressions upon completion, but to really offer up discussion and thoughts on the show. That said, there are still shows I just never managed to mention.

Mai Waifus – Because Anime Made Me a Polygamist

Every blog needs a Mai Waifu post, and ever since Ghostlightning delivered one of the best I’ve read a couple months ago, I’ve been wanting to do my own. I wanted to make sure it was a very perfect and specific post. Not just about women I find attractive (would take millions of words) but true women that I really think would make good wives. I know I’ll have fun with this, so lets roll!

Why I Don’t Like to Talk About Shows That Aren’t Over or Blog Episodically

Let’s say you’ve just met someone for the first time (episode 1). His name is Joe. You and Joe talk for about thirty minutes, get acquainted, find out perhaps that you graduated from the same college or whatever, and then you say ’seeya’ and part ways. Now, after talking to Joe for just thirty minutes, how well do you think you know him? Well enough that you think you can judge him?

Top 5 Anime Resolutions

There is plenty of fanfare over a great climax. Shows like Gurren Lagann have climaxes that stay in mind forever, but this is a post about the moments or even full episodes after the climax – the resolution. When people say that most anime has bad endings, they are usually referring to the weak or ambiguous resolutions. Here are some that were excellent.
