This is mostly going to be a massive fanboy post, so I want to get some things out fast. Fuck everyone who says that Bleach ‘gets worse’. If you never liked Bleach, that’s fine with me, but if you think it only started sucking after the Soul Society arc, then fuck you. Why? Because Bleach has not changed ONE FUCKING BIT since the Soul Society arc. Maybe you dropped it too soon afterward to notice, or maybe you simply forgot what had happened in the first arcs, but either way, you are dead wrong if you think that anything has changed. The next arc has all of the same characters, the same character development, the same focus on battles, and the same attitude… what the hell has changed? How could you say that it could have ended after Soul Society when the whole arc was spent setting up for the betrayal of Aizen? The whole story is a cohesive narrative, so how could you just cut out half of it?

I had to post about this. Maybe others noticed it years ago, but whatever. Pages read r-to-l but are positioned l-to-r. Pages 38 and 39 from Chapter 54 of Bleach, located in volume seven. It’s no surprise to see references to an American film in Bleach because the author is heavily influenced by western works [...] Bleach was brought to the US a little bit too late for me. I was just starting to fall out of interest in anime and start getting into video games when they started publishing Bleach, but I did manage to get the first two volumes of the series. I never managed to watch Bleach when it started airing on Cartoon Network, and by the time I got back into anime, I just wasn’t interested in the shounen action genre anymore. Bleach gradually gained this association with Naruto and the fanboys of both series that made me instinctively avoid it. Mind you I had a lot more experience with Naruto – I read it long enough to see it turn to shit, and I’d seen enough of the anime to hate it. But not Bleach – that dislike was purely fabrication. Have you ever wondered what early Berserk would be like if the Black Swordsman were actually black, the demons he fought were members of the KKK, and the whole thing was set in the American southwest of 1880? Well, Blaster Knuckle is the answer you your questions. Long ago, on his LiveJournal, Cunningham made some very insightful and interesting notes on the importance of a translator and the difference between translating and editing. It’s a must-read in my opinion, especially for light novel and video game fans – the last paragraph in particular being something that I cite often. I am reposting this both to spread the word on this as well as to have an easy citation source as opposed to an impossible-to-find livejournal entry. Yukiteru, the main character, is a middle school student who is fine with being a loner. He considers himself merely a spectator to the world and takes logs of everything he sees around him in a diary on his cell phone. He enjoys talking with his imaginary friend, Deus ex Machina (pictured above) who is essentially god, and visits him in his room alongside his loli servant Muru Muru. Deus randomly decides one day that he wants to create a fun gave in which he will collect 12 people who like to keep cell phone diaries and change those diaries into ‘future diaries’. Each of the future diary holders must seek out and kill the others by destroying their phones, thereby destroying them, and the last person standing will take Deus’ throne as god. The Elsa-Lauro fratello is found death with no evidence as to who might have killed them. Section 1 sends a pair of investigators to learn more about the cyborgs to see if they can put some pressure on Section 2. When section 2 learns what happens, they bury the evidence and blame it onPadania then send Henrietta and Giuseppe on vacation. Fermi doesn’t buy the explanation so he and Gabrielli decide to visit Giuseppe and Henrietta on their vacation. Henrietta concludes that Elsa, who was in like with Lauro but always ignored, probably shot him and then shot herself. |
