Carol! The Story Has No Beginning and No End!

Baccano!’s DVD specials, AKA eps 14-16 are all out and subbed and fun. 14 was probably the best with all the brilliant speeches by Graham and the epic fight he had with Ladd Russo. however 16 was great as well – the entire first half was centered around good ol’ Rail Tracer, who as you know is my favorite character of all time. He had some really hilarious moments this ep and it’s funny to see his odd combination of normal and insane in the way he acts. It’s like he’s totally removed from the world around him, but interacting as if he was totally normal. Rail Tracer vs. Graham wasn’t as epic as I’d hoped, but it was so mismatched that Graham would have just looked stupid if he’d kept going.

We also had this ep the triumphant return of Norio Wakamoto and all the CAROL! I could possibly want. I actually burs out laughing the first time he said it, it was so beautiful. And we’ve pretty much been promised a second season!!! Wakamoto’s talk about how the story is more fun if it never ends, not to mention the giant infinity symbol dragon all scream ‘the show must go on!’ There is enough novel material left that they could go for round two as well. Plus, I don’t think they crammed all those novel-only characters in there for no reason – you see some of them near the start of the show, but the special had a ton. YAY!!!

For those who don’t know, the Vamp! novels, which were written by the author of Baccano! before he did Baccano! have been long licensed by Seven Seas – they’ve got the first novel set out for September, but knowing Seven Seas we can’t get too excited about the date (Shinigami no Ballad released 2 YEARS after it was first announced to). I know I’ll be buying em!
